Week 11 doodle - master pages

I was attempting to make a master page that might have been used for the cookbook shown at http://creativecontinuum.com/show-book.php?id=113.
There are so many things I don't know yet, ie:
1. I couldn't get the page number into the master page on top of my green text box.
2. On the recto page, I tried to put a place holder for the photo of the food item but it looks more like a text box in the indd file.

We don't really have a website.  It was just created for the project.  But if you would like to sing with us, you can call me for details at the phone number on the poster.  The music IS difficult, but we have CDs with which to rehearse and you could start right away.

Shortcuts are wonderful!

It is about time I learned all these shortcuts.  Taking this class is already benefiting me.

Week 2 Doodle

My line doesn't seem to be as dark as the original.  I'll be hoping to learn how to fix that problem.
I would really like to learn how to crop this photo so I don't have all the white space.

Joy - Doodle 1

I haven't come across directions for a doodle, but I did fall in love with my accidental name creation.
So for today, I will title this Joy - Doodle 1.

Does anyone really want to see this project?  It seems like it shouldn't go on the blog, but I will post it here and find out later if I should delete this post.

        Off to a Rough Start!
Sadly, my textbook and computer with inDesign are in a different state than I am right now, so I decided to create a doodle using showme on my iPad and use it temporarily. Tomorrow I will be in the same state as my important tools and I will replace my showme "intro" with something I make using inDesign.
I am enjoying the tutorials and I am looking forward to putting my newly acquired knowledge to work.

InDesign - Be A Pro

As a family history researcher, I want to share the treasures I locate. They should be beautiful and appealing. InDesign provides a great publishing tool which will facilitate those goals. I look forward to increasing my publishing skills using inDesign.
